One Direction and 5 SOS

Wow time flies!

Well this post has been in the pipeline for..ahem, 2 months tomorrow. So without further ado here is the 'highly anticipated' post.

On the 16th of March 2013 I went to see One Direction in concert for my sisters birthday, and it was amazing!!

Oh so tanned ;)

Now admittedly I do rather like One Direction so I was never not going to enjoy it, but I was a bit reserved about their vocal abilities being up to the standard on their album. Being the hardcore fan I am I had listened to acoustic tracks they had recorded before but hey you never know what tweaking has been done before it has been put on the world wide web. Let me assure you no tweaking was needed - the vocals were spot on. (x

The secondary stage

The concert was very slickly put together with a wall of screens behind the main stage that changed the set in seconds, very aesthetically pleasing. The move to the secondary stage was well thought out, they moved over the crowd on a platform which was definitely exciting for the crowd below.

I had the most brilliant time and we were so lucky with our seats! I had been apprehensive about our seating because we ordered tickets through a coach company because they had sold out from ticketmaster etc. (x) We were guaranteed lower tier seats and we were very lucky to be seated opposite the second stage that they moved across on to for a few songs.

Another gigantic bonus was the support act 5 Seconds of Summer, an Australian boyband consisting of Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin. I predict the next boyband phenomenon! They are very talented and heartbreak girl is definitely chart material. I would go and see them in concert again.

5 Seconds of Summer

So in conclusion - when can I go again?! 2014 tour here I come!!

Really excited for half term

Usually I don't get too excited about holidays because I am working, but this half term I have the week off and cannot wait!

Due to the excitement I have made lots of plans,

First of all I am working on my driving, I have been having lessons since 19th September and passed my theory test in December. Over half term I have two lessons booked for an hour and a half each. The last manoeuvre I have to learn is parallel parking and I have started to practice the test routes which is really fun!
I am learning in a Mini Cooper like this -

I have also booked to get a hairstyle overhaul which I will show you the pics of once it is done, it will just look a bit more spring/summery which will be nice because I never change my hair.

Another plan I have is to get my cartilage pierced, I have wanted to have this done since before my GCSE's last year and I was going to get it done over summer. Somehow I have let time run away with me and here I am now! I have been waiting so long I decided to get the two top piercings like this -
The one on the side here

And one where the bow is - and again where the one halfway up the ear is
I already have two lobe piercings like both of these ears do. I am worried about the pain but hey ho! That's why I decided to get the two done at the same time, so I will be able to sleep on my side in half the time than if I had them done separately - sneaky huh?

Cannot wait for this week, I need the break from school and finally getting my ear piercings as well!

The Zoo!

A few days ago my cousins and I had a moment of childish weakness as we managed to persuade our parents to take us to the zoo. Having not been for a few years the excitement surrounding the trip was huge, this is what we got up to...

We had a great time and even got sunburned (considering the summer we have had that is a miracle) My favourite animals had to be the elephants (especially the baby ones) they were falling over everywhere. We will definitely be visiting again!
